Dan Pallotta

Dan Pallotta
President

Dan Pallotta is a leading expert in social entrepreneurship and social change marketing. He combined his passion for social change and his marketing skills to create the multi-day charitable fundraising event category. Inventor of the AIDSRides and Breast Cancer 3-Days, and chief architect of the bold advertising and marketing that made them so successful, he is directly responsible for raising over half a billion dollars for AIDS and breast cancer. His ideas are now used on dozens of multiday charitable events around the world that have raised in excess of a billion dollars in new money for important causes.

Dan is a 1983 graduate of Harvard University. He was elected to the school board in Melrose, Massachusetts at the age of twenty. He is a founding member of the UCLA AIDS Eradication Projects. He has received Brandweek’s “Best Cause-Related Event” Award, the Creative Vision Award from Liberty Hill Foundation, the Humanitarian of the Year award from Triangle, and the International Citizen of the Year award from Albany State University. He is the author of "When Your Moment Comes," and "Uncharitable," from Tufts University Press, which has received wide acclaim in 2009, including reviews in the New York Times, The Economist, and The Stanford Social Innovation Review, which said it “deserves to be the nonprofit sector’s new manifesto.” He has spoken at Harvard Stanford, USC, UCLA, the University of Oregon, and Tufts, among others, and is a William Jefferson Clinton Distinguished Lecturer.

Rex Wilder's artistry with the written word in advertising and branding may be explained by the fact that he is a highly-regarded and published poet. As writer, marketer, innovator and strategist, he has played an important role in many of the most recognizable outdoor charity events for women's cancers and AIDS of the last decade, including the AIDSRides, Breast Cancer 3-Days, Avon Walks, Races for the Cure, and the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women. He began his career on Madison Avenue, and has three Super Bowl commercials to his credit, along with numerous major advertising industry awards.

 

Paiwei Wei

Creative Director

As a creative director with more than 20 years of experience, Paiwei Wei has been involved with design, branding, environmental design, and interactive development with a large cross section of clients spanning the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.

He has worked on projects for Hyundai, Toshiba, managed brands for 28 nonprofit events, developed museum exhibits and large, challenging design projects such as marketing projects for automotive accounts, an outdoor museum for the XPRIZE, a mobile display for the State of New Mexico.

He has a considerable expertise in prepress, multimedia, environmental design, and web development. He has been involved with web projects since 1996.

He has won awards from the Orange County Ad Club and Canadian Marketing Association (Sliver award for Nonprofit marketing).

He is also a contributing photographer to Getty Images. He has a business economics degree from UC Riverside.
